Root boost mobile launcher?

hey, just rooted and put shabbymod 0.8 on mah phone. so far I'm lovin it, but I really don't like the launcher on here. Is there anyway to go back to the stock launcher that came pre-installed?

oh, and root and shabbymod was incredibly easy and it really does make the phone faster it's kinda awesome.

Yes you can go back to the stock launcher, or any other one you want.
Using Root Explorer, what I have but any will do the job if they can get read write permission you will move the app into the /system/app folder then reboot the phone.
I will zip the stock on up for you, I will also include the one I use as I like it way better it is gingerbread stock launcher modified to work on our phones it gives slightly more functionality.
 
mmk, using file expert which comes stock with shabbymod I guess. tried copying it into the folder but it didn't do anything. I'm guessing I have to turn on root/su permissions? am I able to do this with file expert.

Also, do I have to actually COPY the launcher.apk file over a file or just place it in the app folder and it'll like ask me which launcher I want to use or something? or am I also going to have to delete the zeam launcher that shabby includes in his mod?

I have not used file expert but I would imagine since shabby included it you can toggle file permissions. You dont need to copy it you can just move it which ever is more comfortable/convenient.
If you have more then one launcher it will ask which you want to use and give you a check box to make it default. You do not need to delet zeam if you want it to be a choice but you can if you want.

Your welcome I think it is always good to keep the originals around if possible.
 
When I say the launcher I use is just like but gives more options I mean that. The only thing that shows as different is when you press menu you have 3 options on the top row and 3 options on the bottom row. The stock has 2 options on top and 3 on bottom.
Those options are from left to right, top to bottom

Add/ Manage apps/ Wallpaper
Search/ Notifications/ Settings

The stock has
Add/ Wallpaper
Search/ Notifications/ Settings

That manage apps is a short cut right to menu/Settings/Applications settings/Manage apps
 
I do not even remember what the original Launcher was. I remember ADW, Launcher Pro, Zeam, and now GO on 0.9 Loaded. Was it similar to Zeam? I think I rooted my phone maybe a week after I got it and started reading these forums. Seems like a long time ago but I got the the phone at the end of May. A lot of fun stuff since then.
 
lol stock launcher (launcher2.apk) looks a lot like adw in form and function. so if you cant get it working try using adw :)
 
bump, i'd also like the stock launcher (also have shabbymod .8 slim) using blue's honeycomb theme

will use root/file explorer and the attachment, and check if it is similar to ADW.
