I've not actually removed any stock apps myself (when I rooted, I just stuck a custom ROM on my phone), but thought I'd share this with you

TB allows you to remove any apps (including pre-installed carrier apps). It is worth noting that some apps, even if you don’t use/want them, could be used by your system, so it is important not to just start removing apps. Please also note that if it is safe to remove apps for one device, it doesn't necessarily mean that the app is safe to remove for ALL devices. It really depends on the services provided by the app as specified by the particular rom/build. More importantly, system apps are not easily restorable like simply installing an .apk file. And once deleted, even a factory reset will not recover them. You will have to locate and flash a stock rom image to get them back.

One option in TB allows you to freeze apps – I would suggest that you do this initially, as you can always unfreeze the app if you notice that you are experiencing any issues. If, once apps are frozen, your phone is behaving normally, then you can look to removing them. It would be a good idea to freeze apps individually, so that you will notice if each one affects your phone adversely.

There are loads of lists/guides online that can answer that question for you. You don't need to necessarily replace an app with another if you remove it however that may not be the case with everything. In my opinion the first thing you should ALWAYS do is a cwm backup before you attempt any kind of change to your phone, especially when dealing with touching stock apps. Here are a few sites I found in my journey to remove stock apps for my rom im building, I hope they help you.

1 - [GUIDE] APK's, their purpose and safe or not to remove (big!)

This one is great because it explains which file does what and if it's safe to remove or not. This one I referenced quite a bit.

These next few are actually in the ZTE Warp forums here, you just have to search for them. I also referenced these ones quite a bit because they actually pertained to the phone im developing for.

2 - Bloatware Removal Part ||

3 - removable apps

I think after those three sites you would have a real good idea of what can be removed. As far as network location, I know it can't be removed but im not so sure if and how it can be modified either to show anonymous stats.

I hope I helped you here...have a good day :) :thumbup:
