Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] n00b (B10 based) VIII.II FULL Install 1/23/2013

Okay so i flashed the stock B08c deodexed but i cant seem to be able to delete files on my sd card or anywhere else
Edit:just used a different file explorer and it worked wonder why root explorer wont delete tthings :?

I've been trying to work that out for a while

May i make a small request. This 100% personal preference, but i would love if you could release a theme or a link for this rom that would make the status bar transparent. I know when you pull it down, its transparent, and i love that! But for me, its the one thing about shinru's rom (one of the versions he released) i miss, is the completly transparent status bar from the home screen. I just like getting the most out of our screens as possible. I know there is a way in zeam (the home launcher i prefer) to enter full screen, but then i dont get to see all my status icons. No Big deal, and this is my rom of choice with or without. But figured it never hurts to ask.

Thanks again.
Peace love and prosper!!

B08c zips and yours. I've been working on it for a while with no change.

just fyi i was having the same issue right around the time the i switched to noob rom(dont remember if it was before or after). switched to es file explorer-- no issues there.

Looking into root explorer, I tried changing back to superuser but no joy, also tried freezing es file explorer, no change... Odd one

It worked odex, I just tried es file explorer, screw try in to figure it out, I really like es, and its ability to link to my Google drive and drop box, all in one. No need for 3 apps now.:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks the rom seems great, however I cant figure out how to set a live wallpaper. I tried another launcher go launcher, and couldn't find out how to do a live wallpaper there either. Are they disabled in the rom?

Yes he disabled it in the ROM. I used TB to restore it...cuz I like my 3D matrix live wallpaper

a few updates/fixes:

fixed the root explorer issue, it was an issue with my zip that didn't put a symlink in for rm, you can flash this zip over noob to correct the symlink and some permission settings I missed, you won't loose anything: http://db.tt/RmGvY3a7

second, for anyone who wants a stock app that I removed back, you can download the stock b08c zip from post number 3 and pull the stock programs (apk files) out of the system/app folder and paste them into system/app on your phone, reboot and they are back, or if that's too complicated, pm me your email address and what app you want and I will send you a flashable zip to put it back. I did remove a lot of apks that I personally consider bloatware, but I know a lot of people got used to some of the programs and like them so I am happy to help if you want one back.

Data lost on CWM restore (unconfirmed bug): fixed! Download to SD, CWM Install Zip, reboot, this will not repair CWM backups made before the zip is installed, only future backups, sorry about that, I am pretty sure for some reason this did not get included in version I, I will make sure it's in there for II.

I am working on an update still, just been bogged down messing around with a few things :)

Love the rom, especially the extended power menu, but I have one big issue. Titanium Backup always locks up when I try to restore a single app. It batches fine but not all of my apps install so I need to do a few manually. I've tried redownloading the TB, wiping cache and dalvik cache, fix permissions and zipaligning but no change . Any suggestions?

Also, I know you said it took a while to get your extended power menu working but would it be possible for you to have it say "rebooting" when you pick the reboot option, rebooting to recovery when you reboot to recovery and so on instead of powering off?

the only app i have every had issues on restoring form TIB was Accuweather witch stops tib dead in its tracks but if i exclude it from the restore all other so far seem to restore fine

BoBo...I put this ROM on my girl's warp.
She says from time to time ppl can't hear her talking on the other end.
Any suggestions? Will this new patch help?

Tell her to speak up... That's the first I have heard of anything like that, anyone else having that issue? Have her try a fix permissions and clear cache and advanced wipe dalvik

LOL...trust me she talks loud enuff.
But I haven't since she told me about the issue...I'll try it.
She won't me let her near her phone sometimes cuz she sed I messed it up...she wants to go back to stock. I keep trying to tell her this is all a work in progress.

Ok which program do I do this with and HOW ? I tried with astro and es file explorer couldn't figure out the es .

Try installing your apps from the play store then restoring the data only for the apps in titanium, or advanced restore just the data partition from your last cwm backup if you were on stock b08c

Although it takes longer (I'm actually fast now with all of the re-flashes lol) I ALWAYS manually one by one install apps from TB. Just always in the habit of doing it because some apps I restore app only or some app + data, I like the choice. Perhaps he can just do it this way as well and it might work :D Just a suggestion

I loved ES too before I was rooted because it's good about sharing apps directly from it without having to change them like RE makes you do. However, I've never been able to get ES to display the root files.

I just installed the rom, then use SetCPU:
Main:
245-368, ondemand, set on boot
Profiles:
battery > 45C <= 20%, 122-122, powersave, Pri 100, exclusive
batt > 40C <= 30%, 122-245, conservative, pri 95, exclusive
batt < 50%, 122-368, conservative, pri 50, exclusive

and using Go Power Master.

Just curious, what's your reasoning for making your top end value so low (245)? I run it as such:
1024-245, on demand, set on boot
Profiles:
Battery >44C, 245-122, On Demand, Priority 57 Exclusive
Charging AC, 1024-122, On Demand, Priority 56 Exclusive
Charging USB, 1024-122, On Demand, Priority 55 Exc
In Call, 768-245, On demand, Pri 54, Exc
Screen Off, 576-122, On demand, Pri 53, Exc
Battery <15%, 368-122, On demand, Pri 52, Exc
Battery <50%, 806-245, On Demand, Pri 51, Exc
