Root [Boost Mobile] ROM not rooted

I have made my oen ROM but for some reason it wont root, i have the su file from the superuser.zip and i have placed it in both system bin and system xbin, is there anything else i need to do?

Btw the zip keep's bootlooping :/

I believe you have to use the cm7 based rom template, but i'm not sure, this would be a good question for hroark
