Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] WarpShark v1.1.0B

By default, I have GPS location turned off to save battery. You would need to enable it in your settings menu, and then it should work for you :)
Haven't had to mess with GPS before to get it working. GPS has always been off.

I uninstalled the copy of the clock I had downloaded from the Play Store and then restored the clock from my TB backup. I was able to search and find the weather location within the app without a problem. Same versions. Could it be something in the way this rom talks to the market? Just plain weird...I'll work with you to find the trouble as long as you need me to; so just let me know what you want me to do. This is the kind of puzzle on which I liked to work during my 25+ years in the IT field. I love the mysteries. :)

I'll have to install it and see what I can figure out with this. I've never used the app; So I can't say I'm familiar with it

Thank you. I like the clock and the info it provides. It's been my favorite since I started using Android a year ago. I appreciate the time you are taking to help me with this rom. It's clean, responsive and attractive.

I downloaded and installed it; works just fine for me. Possible cause that comes to mind is that you were on a B08 ROM and mine is B08c could have caused a minor conflict with the backed up data.

That shouldn't be a problem because I flashed the stock B08C before installing Shark. I always restart normally between flashing ROMs along with clearing cache, Dalvik, and data. Before I restart after flashing the final ROM, I fix permissions to avoid having to do restart just to do that. Should I be doing something different?

Hmm...Maybe with TB being so strange that might have had something to do with it...? I downloaded it for the first time (It's quite the snazzy clock) and set my weather location without a problem...

I believe you are correct with your assessment that it is related to the Play Store and the difficulty I had downloading TB. Maybe I should uninstall the Play Store and try again. What do you think? Other ideas?

I wouldn't recommend uninstalling that...What I can suggest is if you go to Applications > All Applications, you can clear the Playstore data. I think that's wehre it is, anyway....*checks* Yeah, under Manage Applications > Click All > Google Play Store > Clear Data. You could even try uninstalling updates and let it update itself again, and see if that takes care of the issue.

I already tried clearing cache and data for the Play Store. I did not uninstall the update so I'll do that now. Thanks for helping. :)

Hooray! I was able to download the clock from the Play Store after deleting the copy of the clock I had on my phone and then going to settings to uninstall the Play Store updates. When I went to the Play Store and downloaded the clock, I was able to set my weather location without any trouble. I'm going to uninstall TB and try that again.

I'll have to look into it, to see if I perhaps caused some sort of error. But I am glad that worked for you!

Could be the kernel im using. Did you fix permissions in cwm?
I fixed permissions before right after I flashed and before I started the first time after flashing. I did the same thing the second time I flashed. I'll try that as soon as I get a chance and let you know what happens. Thanks. :)

I should have an update with a different kernel, and some more themed apps coming sometime today/tonight.

First thing to report after flashing the new version, 1.1.0B, is the GPS is sticking now. I'll check TB soon....

I made sure gps worked before I posted it :P any bugs, and I'll fix Em the best I can. Tb worked fine for me too

It was the first thing I checked after flashing the ROM and was glad to see you had it fixed. The GPS was working okay before the new version, it just wouldn't stick and I had to reboot to make it stay on. Now it is fine as frog hair. :) You certainly do good work, and quickly too. kudos. :)

I just had a problem with the panoramic view of the camera causing a FC. I had fixed permissions before starting after flashing. I'm going to try to fix them again and see if that helps.

You must add the lib file from inside of the apk into /system/lib/ to fix the fc issue
