Just a qucik ? and I am not steping on anyone's toes here at all. I love what you guys do. But, I know for all the ROMs built for the prevail they were able to remove all of the boost crap. Is it harder to remove all that stuff with this phone? I still see the boost name in the roms over here. It woyld be nice not to see and boost stuff in these roms you guys are making.

Well buddy theres not a trace of boost in my ROM as for others im unsure hope that helps

Yeah, the only thing that even says Boost is the lock screen on mine and that's easy to fix. I've just never even thought about it.

In all fairness even stock, the Warp is relatively light on bloatware. Having had just about every Android phone that Boost has in its lineup I can safely attest that the Warp stock has the least amount. Even so, the caliber of ROMs we now have coupled with any future development make the Warp the best deal going at this time.

Totally agree with you :D

Boost isn't NEARLY as bad as Virgin Mobile. The first phone I got with them had about 20 pieces of bloatware. Internal memory was FULL the day I got it >_> Needless to say, that sucker was rooted/rom'd within a half hour of me being home.

ALSO their customer service sucks :D boost from a personal experience is pretty badass dropped my bill 5 bucks after 3 on time payments :D

Yeah i can agree. Boost has been good to me so far. Virgin sucked. Verizon i didn't mind...except they were too bloody expensive.

good point though, I plan on de-branding mine sometime around release version 3 of n00b :)

Yeah, mine in any theory, should be debranded very soon. Including lockscreen. Maybe I'll make it say Prinny Mobile XD

OK so I decompiled my systemui and framework and I haven't found a single trace of boost in them... I saw somewhere that carrier info is in the eri.xml of the framework apk but in it all I found was chinamobile... it seems that zte changed the carrier name through another method...

Lol... who would've thought that something so simple would be so hard... I can't locate the carrier name anywhere...

And this is precisely why it doesnt matter if your phone says boost mobile xD

Yeah lol... I used a batch file searcher and it cant locate the word "Boost" in any of the smalis and xmls of the systemui and framework which leads me to believe that the systemui gets the carrier label from another source

It pulls the carrier ID, it isn't hard coded. You can edit(do not remove!) the text string in the xml's under layout then recompile though.

Alternatively, you can use cdma workshop to change carrier names. I think that's what i used..or qxdm/qpst.

I was reading last night that the carrier name was coded using a hex number or something, haven't looked into it yet
