are you running win7 64bit? was it OTA? are you running CWM?
Try installing PDAnet tether. those were the only drivers that worked for me in the past, wondering if they changed something.

Since im having the same issue...I am running win 7 64 bit, no problems rooting before...i was running CWM, updated using the zte upgrade tool...I know what your saying about the pdanet drivers those were the only ones I could use to get the CWM going, maybe ill try that to get the OCR to work again....

They're was a new update for the zte warp? b08c?

yessir, and everything im trying as listed above is not working.
i run the update from the computer i tested in windows 64 bit widows 32 bit ultimate edition, a starter edition here first work a fedora a Ubuntu and last not more important a mac os x 10.6 no luck erased driver reinstalled

It APPEARS that they patched the ZegRush exploit in the B08c update that One Click Root for the Warp uses. DO NOT update to B08c until this is confirmed/fixed. Its nothing to do with drivers I believe. IF you did update to B08c then reflash CWM for the warp and restore a NANDROID backup.

Could somebody (using a file explorer) look in /cache/download and snag the update... I haven't gotten anything about an update yet... And would like to get a look at it if possible...

You wont get notified on your phone about the update if you are rooted. rooted warp dosent get ota updates. I may be able to capture the update file for you using the zte update tool. What do you mean by "take a look at it"?

I was hoping to get some more insight on this updater script problem... The ota uses recovery to install the update.... The updater tool installs with very different scripting... I just KNOW I'm missing something simple... But i can't for the life of me figure it out... it's driving me nuts

Latest samsung prevail update lost root too, well atleast on my wife's phone

This whole update situation is strange b/c, originally last night, when I ran the tool figuring i'd just root again afterwards, it did show the update as 08c or w/e, Then since that point ive been trying all kinds of things to get root back flashing stock img, restores/but once that firmware is updated, cannot get root access thru cwm to even flash from the sd card...so now im at the point of just letting it be for now, and i just ran the update tool again just to reset everything after all my troubleshooting, and it shows on the tool that I have the current update of 08b, but on the phone under phone information it does show 08c, just throwing my experiences in there, for now i'll deal w.out root until some other method is devised.
