I see this question has been asked before, and it looks like some people are in the works getting this to be a possibility, i just wanted to post to make sure i havent missed something...
My friend had an optimus M and he was able to root it with out a computer. He simply downloaded an .apk file and rebooted and Voila! He watched some youtube video and it literally took like two minutes... Unfortunately I dont own a computer (hence my 4.3 in screen
) and so this is going to be my best option for removing some unwanted files and running adfree... is it possible yet for our phones?
Also, do we have some sort of master list for apps that are ok to delete with out causeing negative effect on the phone? my aforementioned friend also bricked his phone by deleting the original sms app (or some other app that the phone apparently needed to function)... i would prefer not to do this
This is my first touch screen phone, my first android phone, and my first phone that i will have ever rooted, so i believe that would qualify me as a tru noob.
