Root [Boost Mobile] Rooted now what?

Just used warp drive the cmd prompt said. press any key to continue so im thinking it worked.. what do i do now. I want to turn off the camera shutter sound. Id like to change the logo.sys (start up picture)

you mean the boot logo? Try splash.img. By the way, there is a guide to turning off your shutter sound without rooting. I'll post the video in another reply to this thread

Will these videos show me how to get to the Boot logo? I dont even know how to'click around' my phones files. I do know how to lookk at my phone's sd card.

hmm there is one tool you might be able to use to be able to do this. But, I must warn you first: Please proceed with caution, noone but yourself is responsible for any damage that might occur.

he said the program only works on xp and win7..... this is the second time ive been Frenched by vistas!!

Well I tried the instructions on the video and the utility.. it was a no-go. I thought my phone bricked after it didn't boot up when the program restarted it! But thankfully i just pulled the battery and rebooted it and it was fine. Phew!

Am i understanding correctly when i think that since i have win vista i cant replace my shutter sound or any of the other fun stuff rooted phones can do.
