Root [Boost Mobile] Shins oc kernel with SUPER_PHONE II ,Wi-Fi fixed(wifi sleep issue still remains)

Still full bars, lol. What I need is if some other people would test on other roms if you guys wouldn't mind.thank you.

What about signal , ril drops out after a while

Yeah, back in the day when I tested the oc kernel I would put wifi on and then let the screen sleep and wait a couple minutes, then when you wake the screen you will see you have no signal. That was the issue for me and since I am on wifi all day at work then all night at home it was a no go for me because I wouldn't get calls.

I am just trying the build prop 2 right now, I will report back. I would be interested in trying the oc kernel again if we think the issue is solved, but I wouldn't think a build prop edit would take care of the issue the kernel caused...

It shouldn't be fixed. Someone go into wifi and press the menu button, go to advanced and turn the wifi sleep policy to always on. Then see if signal drops out. That would be a good test

haven't tried the oc kernel yet but so far no issues with super phone II build prop with n00b V (sorry guys, not quite ready to release it yet :)

Your right downthemachine, I didn't know about this issue but when I did what you said I lost signal.I AM SORRY TO ALL FOR THIS MISLEADING INFOMATION.
If you don't check that box in advanced ,seems ok though.

Wasn't a personal attack, I just wanted to see if you would get the same results of if maybe the issue was, because the wifi was left on. In that case the wake lock might be the issue in the source. Its real world testing that finds these issues and their subsequencial fixes. So no worries man, I wasn't discrediting a possible fix, there was also talk on the shinjitsu thread about build.prop fixes for this. Even though shin said its most likely related to improper voltage regulation.

I know it wasn't anything personal, lol I probably should see if someone can combine this thread with my super phone thread so people won't waist there time testing. Thank you downthemachine for straighten this out I should of tested more before posting this, lol I don't wana wist people's time.

You can try this kernel. I have it and super II running right now. Does not have swap support though. This is hroaks original modified kernel with shin's oc files added. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away hroak posted this and other versions of the kernel, when people had various issues he removed all the links, I saved this one because it worked well for me. I have done the suggested ril test and have not had a signal issue. Not saying there isn't one though. Only problems I have ever had with this kernel are random reboots just like all other kernel versions except the one by downthemachine with swap running.

As always anyone using this should make a backup before flashing the kernel and be aware that files of this type could permantly brick your phone. Should such a disaster happen know that it is your fault and I can't be held responsible.

Thanks I just installed the oc kernel you posted and my wifi turns on now.
I was using the 1.7oc Mr.bobo posted and when I tried to turn wifi on it said error.
Now to go to a hotspots and see if the wifi works correctly

I had shins oc installed and wifi turned on fine but when downthemachine told me about the sleep issue ,well wasn't fixed but can still use it just can't switch wifi to never sleep.

That is because the wifi modules that match that kernel were either wrong or not included

None but there may be other issues, trying to get directions with Google maps, bus directions and I get no route found on a proven route. Do I need stock browser, never did before. Maybe a restart or cache and dalvic dump our necessary. Any noted dependencies?

I honestly don't know, this for me is research. Has anyone tried a different governor?
