No you dont need to be in FTM mode. Just need to reboot to bootloader.if ur in winblows 7, u go to start - control panel - system - then click device manager in top right of ur screen... make sure the device is plugged in and in ftm mode. In device manager u will see a unknown device with an exclamation point on it where usb controllers is. Right click that device, then click update driver software, then click browse my computer for driver software, then browse button on right, and go to the folder u unzipped the USB drivers for your device and select that folder and click OK. The browse for folder dialog box will disappear magically, then click the "include subfolders" checkbox so that it's enabled, should be enabled by default. then click next. it should install the drivers for u
adb-windows.exe reboot bootloader
ok i am in bootloader mode what is the next step and the device is listed as fastboot interface now i need the next step
I dont understand you so probably. LOLneither adb-windows or fastboot-windows stay open am i missing something.
So when your in cmd prompt and you run a command of saylol i know its something simple
Ok so Im pretty sure you didnt put the support files from post 1 at C:\Documents and Settings\thsxftmidgt did you? If you did I suggest putting them at like C:\adb or create a folder in the root of your c drive called anything you like. And to get there in command prompt you will have to type cd c:\adb or whatever folder you name it. then run the command.no it doesnt but it is staying on which is new
C:\Documents and Settings\thsxftmidgt>adb-windows.exe reboot bootloader
'adb-windows.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

Yes you can either "adb-windows.exe reboot recovery"
or do it the old fashoined way and shut down then power + vol up
so i got stuck "waiting for device"
it will reboot into recovery from cmd prompt but then nothing
error: device not found
I hangs at the green android.ok, im working on another build as we speak, gonna upload it in a second.
Yeah custom recovery replaces those.i reflashed the stock recovery
i notice that ftm mode and recovery mode do not function when the custome recovery is flashed

so i got stuck "waiting for device"
it will reboot into recovery from cmd prompt but then nothing
error: device not found
Last build hangs at green android alsoThis is tedious work, but considering i dont have a phone to do this with, i would like to thank everyone testing for me. altho, to make cyanogenmod for this phone, i would need the phone itself in order to get all the files from it...=(
No your doing just fine. It just doesnt work yet. One more time custom recovery removes FTM mode.Lmao I did all the steps and now I can't go into ftm nor the custom recovery mode we are talking about![]()
but my phone boots just fine
I'm missing something!?
