what does this one do, I copies a lot of the files from the stock recovery into it and repacked

I think its the partition sizes hroark... idk, i copied alot of the original recovery files too. heres what i got from b08 update.zip:

recovery_api_version=3
blocksize=262144 
boot_size=0x00C00000
recovery_size=0x00C00000
system_size=314572800
userdata_size=1073741824
tool_extensions=device/zte/arthur/../common
mkyaffs2_extra_flags=-c 4096 -s 128

by the wat FTM mode is part of the recovery the files be in the ramdisk for it

so on my latest does FTM mode work, it probably wont

can you guys /gals go into mounts and storage and try to mount everything that can be mounted and tell me what happens

mount usb storage gives error E: Unable to open ums lvnfile (no such file or directory)
Also error mount /sd-ext but I dont have one.

for sd-ext you need to have a secondary partition on ur sdcard, such as another ext4 partition on it, mainly used for link2sd or app2sd

which version of sebastions was the most functional, and what worked on it and what did not work, and what problems it had

Sebatians last 4 b09 thru b13 all worked but froze about 2.5 minutes into operation much like QuietStorm1785's latest and your latest. Although yours are upside down. Yours progress bars work while backing up Sebastians never did.
