******Mini-update 2/20/13

-Framework-res mods- further theming and black backgrounds...Please give me your feedback on whether I should include these mods in future releases

Here is a ROM I put together based on the deodexed B10 release with the following features:

-modified apk's to run at 160dpi
-removed bloatware
-ICS themed dialer
-ICS Camera
-Stock kernel
-Chrome themed Miren browser (XDA)
-Holo Launcher and Locker
-True black system backgrounds (work in progress)
-ICS system UI
-drop in animations

Thanks to i2f for the systemui and MRbobo for the base

Issues:
SystemUI force closes on swipe to clear
ICS Camera may not work on first start and requires a Permissions fix, Dalvik and Cache wipe in recovery before it works

Install instructions:

For new installation please perform a factory reset and format system in recovery. This zip will not wipe anything.

For existing installations you may flash over your current install. You will need to re-update 5 apps in Google play however. Next release will include updated apps. You will not loose any data.

The stock kernel is included and performs flawlessly with this ROM.

Installed this morning, not bad at all, nice and smooth and I like the layout. Nice and quick and smooth............... kudos man.........
 
Thank you for the feedback...I am very surprised how smooth and responsive it is with the stock kernel. I have absolutely no lag.

If anyone has mms issues you will need to add the Boost Mobile apn info.

The keyboard at this dpi is horrible...I strongly recommend the AI Type keyboard. It has large keys even at 160 dpi.
 
I will try to get the in-call screen back to full size in the next day as well...please post any problems you may run into.

Yep i was very impressed, now get the OC kernal in it and then it really would be great. (just my opinion lol). Very good work man......;)
 
And you might want to remove your friends phone # and names from those screen shots!! LOL!!;)
Never know who might try to start calling those people.:p:)
 
As far as the OC kernels go, I was getting freeze ups in some 3d games and lag when switching apps...not sure why....this Rom is very smooth at stock speed.

As far as the modded apk files, I had to replace the images in some of the mdpi folders with hdpi images

Sounds like zRAM's up to its old tricks again!
 
Actually what I'm saying is that I don't see any reason to OC at this point. I have tested Temple Run and it runs smooth with no freeze ups. Apparently running the phone at 160 dpi vs. 240 dpi is a lot less taxing on the system resources.

The main thing I need to get fixed is the voice search force closing....Is anyone else having this issue or any others? As far as I know there was nothing I changed from the stock b10 that should cause issues

I thouroughly detest boat and have had no issues with Dolphin which is my personal go to.

I would like Talk to Txt though and would appreciate some suggestions to use ( Except Bobo, I hate the one your using in the new update, did love the one in the last update though w/e that one was)
