Just read an article on the best selling smartphones for last month. The S3 is still in the top 10. Pretty amazing for a 2 year old phone.
I can't believe that I have had mine for 11 great months.
Agreed. S2 was ok, but S3 was a very noticeable upgrade and improvement over the S2. From there it's very minimal on upgrade, not enough for me to warrant upgrading. There are subtle increases aside from the processor but not anything major for me really, not even the S5.
If I "had" to choose or upgrade I'd go for the S5 for sure.
Don't get me wrong, both the 4 and 5 are very upstanding and nice phone, just not enough to make me rush out and trade/upgrade my S3 for.
S3 for me will hold me even still for some time to come. Only thing I would really trade my phone for is that projector type phone they have out called the samsung galaxy beam. It's a smaller screen and a slower phone but the projector part of it for me would MORE than make up the difference. If you've never heard of what I'm talking about look it up. The phone has a small projection port on the top of the phone and can projector up to a 50 ft screen size (drool). Not sure what the res is that big but I'm good with that even at low res. The possibilities of the projection part of the phone are almost endless, presentations, Netflix, use an app to show off things, and I'm sure there are more possibilities I missed.
The screen is also 3.5 but again that's ok with me as well.
The phone sadly only sells overseas and not in the US, and I doubt it will anytime soon. It's like 4 years old in think and was a passing fad, so I don't see it getting here in the states.
So that being said this S3 will hold me over.......more so than the S2 ever did.
