Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

I flashed that zip, didn't help, still having issues sending group messages. I would like to try the conquest rom. Do I need a different bootloader, modem, etc? Thanks for the help.

For conquest you just need to be updated to NDC. The thread says it all

Let's do Moonknightus a favor and keep anything concerning the 4.4.2 update in this thread and not his Conquest thread. Thanks

Does anyone have any idea what version of odin I need and where to get it??
I would like to get this done tonight but am waiting on where to find the right version?

Just a heads up before starting. Make sure you have a good charge on your battery.

Also, it can take almost 15 minutes to flash the Boost stock tar. Just start Odin and let it do its thing. It only took me around 10 minutes but it has taken others longer.

OK. Here are the links you need.

This is the newest Odin with instructions for use.
[ODIN] Desktop ODIN ver 3.07 for use with Sa… | AT&T Galaxy S3 | XDA Forums

This will give you the stock Boost tar link and flashing instructions.
[FULL RESTORE][TAR] Stock NDC Odin FLASHABLE… | Sprint Galaxy S3 | XDA Forums

This is the link for Philz. Use Odin to flash the Philz tar.

Happy blessings to everyone!!!!!
Always thank your Developer and or Contributor for helping you!!! Also keep your emotions in check as for they don't have to help you they are not being payed to do this so if your ignored don't blame them for doing so....

I installed the ND8 tar and when the phone rebooted, this window keeps popping up every few seconds with a different app name saying that app has stopped. I click on ok, few seconds later, the window pops up again with a different app name. Also, this boost default configuration update wants to download and trys but at the end it keeps failing. Do I want to download and install this boost configuration? I went into download mode by presing the vol down+power+home button, flash the philz file and the phone rebooted. When I hold the power button, there is no option to get into recovery. If I click on home+vol down+power, it ask me to press vol down to reboot, vol up to install rom but then it takes me into download mode, I don't want download mode, how do I get into recovery?

:(:(I also checked if I had root with root checker and I do not have root, how did I lose root?? I did not want to lose root

I downloaded the tar that you linked and my baseband is now L710VPUCNDC.

I don't think thats the ND 8 that I was suppose to have.

Bro, you're flashing a brand new stock Boost ROM. It isn't rooted. You will get root back once you flash a custom ROM. They are already rooted.

Holy cow bro. You get into recovery by holding volume up + home tab + power. Volume down + home tab + power is for download mode only. You should know this bro. These button combinations are one of the very 1st things you need to learn.

Only custom ROMs have the option to enter recovery via the power button. Some of them don't even have that option. You have to press volume up + home tab + power to enter recovery. You'll get the recovery option via power button once you flash Conquest.

Also, ND8 is the Sprint version. NDC is for Boost. It really doesn't matter. Just thought you should know. I'm running the ND8 bootloader. That's because I wanted 4.4.2 and the Boost NDC wasn't available yet.

Try using the button combo I mentioned and get into Philz so you can flash Conquest. Make sure you do a factory reset , wipe cache and wipe dalvik before flashing ANY new ROM.

I don't know why you're getting all the apps force closing. Factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache then flash Conquest. That should straighten you out. Once you have done that you will need to go in your settings and update your profile. That will enable your data.

ok thanks, i will try that, first, i will make a back up before i flash conquest, thanks for the feedback.. and yes, i did know that that does go into recovery but i only used that way a few times and i forgot about that, thanks for reminding me.

Ok. Good. I'm just worried about you bro. I don't want you to brick your phone. These phones aren't cheap.

The good news is you are running the correct bootloader. Getting that flashed is the hardest part. The rest is all downhill. Just take your time.

I installed the rom. How do I get the volume louder?? I try to open nova launcher and each time it keeps saying unfortunately the app has stopped. It wont let me open and restore the settings. Also, I have noticed that there isnt nearly as many settings and controls as there are in liquid smooth rom, like quick settings in the drop down menu, customizing the status bar, pie controls, etc??I tried to restore my backup of liquid smooth (before changing the bootloader) and I get a red triangle, it wont restore? Is there not any way to restore this? I forgot to backup some of my apps data through TB so some data is not current that I really need. I would really hate to have to reinstall the liquid rom and spend countless hours customizing just to be where I was before??
I am a little disappointed becuase now, whereever I go, I have to go through all the hours of customizing either the conquest rom or back to liquid smooth? I thought I would be able to go to my backup of liquid smooth?

You can change the toggles in the pull down. They are all there, click the square in the upper right corner of the pulldown. Did you do a fresh install of nova or just restore a backup from titanium? Install fresh from playstore, your home screen setup will still be there if you backed it up in nova settings.
The stock ROM is not going to have pie controls or things like that. Who needs them when we have hardware keys? Kinda redundant. But all the things you are asking can be done with xposed.
Also in titanium there is an option to extract apps from a nandroid backup.
As for the red triangle, did you reinstall philz touch recovery and re root? How can you restore a backup without custom recovery?

Thanks for the feedback. I did reinstall nova, thats working now. Where can I get xposed that is compatible with conquest rom? I was able to extract the data from the nandroid backup so I got that taken care of too.

I sent you a link to the volume mods last night via text message. Here's the link again.

As far as restoring existing backups made before you flashed the 4.4.2 update, I have heard that it can be done. Personally, I haven't done it and I don't know why yours aren't restoring. As I mentioned earlier when you asked me this question, I recommended starting from scratch and restoring your apps with Titanium. That's what I did. I didn't feel comfortable flashing the older backups made while running the 4.3 bootloader. I didn't want to run the risk of restoring a backup that may be unstable.

I'm glad to hear that you figured out how to extract the data from your backup and use it.

Does anyone know how to get the quick settings ribbon in the notification window? Not the regular quick settings that you can access on the top right of the screen, the ribbon that goes across the top of the screen.

Hi Wetbiker, will this volume mod work for Boost phones? I know we are NDC, and the mod says it is for ND8. I just want to verify before I flash. also, will it work for raising the phone call volume? That is the only volume I really want higher.
Thanks in advance.
