Look up a few posts previously. I believe it was wetbiker that said there is a kernal that is safe to flash on our boost s3 phones.
I haven't flashed this or any kernals in a long time so I personally do not know. Also, make sure you check the roms xda thread on whether or not its safe to do on that particular rom. For example, I read that if you flash a kernal on midnight rom that that will brick the phone so be careful.

Both KToonsez and DKP have kernels for Touch Whiz and AOSP.

You just have to look and find them in the threads. They will say which are for Touch Whiz and which are for AOSP. JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU READ AND GET THE RIGHT KERNEL! :D

im running Blazer ROM is it a TW rom ?
well i flashed the TW kernel and it seams to all me working just fine ^.^ TY
and i only only have one back up of my stock stock no root or anything lol i need to make more back ups but THANK YOU !!!:D

OK, since you didn't mention which one you flashed, just remember that the KToonsez kernel comes with it's own kernel app called KTweaker. The other kernels need apps. If you read through the kernel thread you used, several people have mentioned which kernel control apps they are using. That's a good place to look for one if you are curious as to what others are using. ;)

And yes, if I were you I'd make several more backups. I've got 3 different ROM backups in my TWRP folder and quite a few more on my pc. :D:p

When it comes to backups, I keep a bunch of them. :)
 
Update

VANIR ROM HAS BEEN REMOVED DUE TO INSTABILITY ISSUES.

After reading through some of the XDA threads and seeing that Sprint users are having issues with the ROM, I have decided to remove it from our list of ROMs for the time being. Hopefully the issues will be resolved. Once they are I will gladly add it back to the thread.

OK, since you didn't mention which one you flashed, just remember that the KToonsez kernel comes with it's own kernel app called KTweaker. The other kernels need apps. EDIT: Dude, I just read through the change logs for that ROM (Blazer) The 1% battery mod was added. You need to look through your settings. According to the changelog, it's in the ROM.

You'll probably have to make the change in the phone settings if it's not showing.

Just a little tip. Read through the ROM's main post and change logs. That's where I found out that the 1% battery mod was added to the ROM. You'll find a lot more useful info there too. :)

idk how many times u said this biker its like maybe u should post it in red under every rom read the first post but dont stop there, theres more now read the thread cause thats where you find the bug fixes and pretty much everything else wrong with the rom and when you're done there and only when your done there come to the boost thread and post your issue/problem/ bug! these are roms that are not made for boost phones the devs here are finding fixes and making them work (awesome devs! thnx so much!) some of these roms r even ported from other phones so if thats the case that thread may even have some info for you.

now that thats been said whats up biker i decided to try aosp again just to see what all the butterry smooth hype was about seeing as ive never run aosp on my gs3. i was running that vanir rom big mistake i was away from the pc for some time and didnt have a bakup on my phone so i was forced to use it till i got home the only issues i had are the browser force closing and google now not working oh and the wifi would randomly disconnect! i figured out the wifi issue. there are advanced settings under wifi needed to change it to keep wifi on during sleep: always:fixed: but the browser still didnt work couldnt figure it out back on moar. Is collective fully working and is it really that orange on the phone?, not a big fan of orange lol my pc screen is funky when it comes to colors distinguishing orange and yellows dont know why.

Edit: i looked it up on my phone def as orange as it looks on my pc! noticed in first post it said search in the play store for aocp themes but when i search aocp i get no results! does anyone know where to find the themes? just really not feeling the orange don't wanna flash and like the rom and have to deal with this orange i mean i could deal now being as Halloween is right around the corner but after that i def want something red or even black and white like the prevail!

Edit2: off topic this is directed towards biker as he used to own a prevail! got my hands on a prevail 2. its a nice little phone a little fatter than it looks on the boost site tried talkin my wife into it but shes in love with this crappy zte warp sequent.

What up bro!?!? Great to hear from you. Yes, the Collective is ORANGE AS CAN BE. Lol. I found the themes for it on Play but they all cost $$$. As for how the ROM runs, I didn't really have any issues with it. Im not able to test 4g though. I've heard you have a choice with the AOSP ROMS. 4g or mms. Doesn't affect me though. It'll be awhile before I have 4g.

Say the Prevail 2 is nice huh? I read that Kouma either already has it or is gonna get it. If thats true then that phone is gonna have a great Dev.

On the Vanir ROM, I took it down from this thread. I had to deal with ramdom freeze ups and reboots. After reading Sprint users were having troubles too, I pulled it.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I'm running Wicked Sensations right now with the KToonsez kernel. I really like this ROM. It hasn't given me any trouble whatsoever. It's smooth, customizable, and dependable. I do believe I'm gonna stick with it for a little while. It has some really nice themes too. Blue, red, white, Anaconda (mix of orange and green) purple, pink, and a new Halloween theme. They can all be flashed on the fly if your running TWRP. Just use the Kuan Updater, download and follow the prompts. It'll boot you into recovery, flash the theme, and then boot you right up. Pretty sweet. It flashes all of the mods in the Kuban Updater the same way.

CWM users have to actually go into the recovery and manually flash the themes and mods. +1 for TWRP. :D
 
help please
im having a hard time getting the mms fix to stick i changed all the APNs in my phone it says they stick but i can't send mms (i do receive mms).i all so tried to manually configure my APN with go sms pro (my sms app) but after i attempt to send a mms the phone or somthing changes my manually configured APN to "hhtp://mms.sprintpcs.com" any ideas why or what im doing wrong ?

Well, for Touch Whiz ROMs you follow the directions in this link. DO NOT USE THE ZIP FOUND AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. MAKE ALL CHANGES MANUALLY.

i did the mms fix #1 and for some reason it says all my MMSC,MMS PROXY,MMS PORT are right they stay but i still cant send :confused:
just tried Method 2 of AOSP the go sms work around and it changes my MMSC to "http://mms.sprintpcs.com"
i HAVE got'n the mms to work using TW method but it allways just stops working :mad:

Edit:so i tried the AOSP method 1 and i lost my 4g and when i changed the mobile data setting to CDMA i had 3g and mms now i changed my my APN back to my backed up one and i have 4g just tested my mms and now its working :confused: i hope it sticks this time THANK YOU WETBIKER

I may just have to give it a try. I just flashed MOAR again last night and have been getting my phone set back up. Running KToonsez with it too.

Does it have a Touch Whiz and AOSP version? Is it a tweaked stock kernel or can it over clock?

Just fixed this up on MOAR. Gotta love that Morphology. LOL, I just had to take the shot in the room with the worst reception. I usually get 3-4 bars throughout the rest of the house with the 31104 prl.

Most AOSP Roms have kernel control built in under the performance tab in settings. You shouldn't need any special app to do the basic tweaks.

They shouldn't be ROM specific either, so long as its 4.3.x you should be good to go as long as you're flashing a 4.3 kernel.

I personally don't use ktoonz, but many are perfectly happy with it

Sorry bro, had a brain fart there for a second about performance control in the AOSP ROMS and it totally slipped my mind. Must have been lack of sleep. LOL I run CM10 on my tablet and have ran CM7 on years on my Prevail.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try this weekend. :D
