Root [Boost Mobile] Would anyone like to see an anime themed rom?

It should be pretty obvious that I am big into anime and video games. And I've been thinking of themeing out my current rom in an anime style(parts of it are already). But then I got to wondering if anyone else was interested in that... I know we've got a lot of anime fans around here...

Right now I am just testing the waters, would anyone be interested in this? I'm not talking about themeing to one specific anime series... I'm talking about putting an anime style to the icons, lock screen, notification, font, boot animation, etc.

Part of me wants to make a complete rom myself, but we have SO many good ones that just seems unnecessary. So I'm maybe looking to collaborate with the dev of one of our current roms and base it on that. Like say we had a rom called "Bob's rom" and I would make a version of that called "Bob's rom - anime edition." I don't want it to JUST be a theme, I want to add some of my personal touches here and there too. Obviously major credit would be given.

I am not an artist, I can probably work up some decent icons and such but I'd also like some actual anime character drawings for the boot screen and stuff and I can't do that and I want it to be original work - so I'd need help with that.

So the current questions are:

Is anyone interested?

Are any of the current rom devs willing to let me use their awesome rom as a base and modify it somewhat in addition to themeing it, while it retains it's original name + "Anime edition" or some such.

Is anyone capable of providing some original(like not from an actual series) anime artwork to help?
 
I think it'd be better to start off with just a theme for one rom, then it can be ported to another rom and another. It'd be like me and i2f have done, he started his theme on noob rom, then got it on CTmod, then I got it on CTmod, and now I'm working on ports for both Alliance and Voltron ROM on Public Mobile (yeah yeah, its slow progress, but they'll have their themes....). But thats just my opinion.
 
Maybe it'd be better for me to do my own rom then, because there are a lot of certain internal tweaks that I want just the right way that aren't in any other roms(like one rom has this tweak, one rom has that tweak but none have both). But still I would do it in an anime style and I'd still need some artwork help lol!
 
Your welcome to use DroidSmith Blyss. I'd really love to see it. If you need any system edits made I can either guide you or in some cased put the work together

Awesome. That sounds like a great place to start then. I don't know how long it will take me but I need a hobby in the coming weeks. I'm gonna be going through something tough and it's way better for me to stay busy.

That being said, I can't even actually start for a few days. I was just sitting here watching some anime and I had already been considering it and I thought hey why not ask you guys.

I've said this before but a LONG time back I was working on a ROM myself. It never got finished due to the death of my warp and I lost the base since. I'm gonna make a proper thread now since I came up with a name for it, and also to see who is able to help with a few things AND what they'd like to see in it.

Droidsmith is a good base, especially since you've got the xperia pack and that was the launcher I was gonna use. That plus my zram/swap/oom settings were the only really major tweaks I want to employ. Anything else would just be integrating your guys work into my own rom so I figured it would just be better to start from there.
