Boot Android from SD?

Anyone heard of Android booting from SD using any phone/tablet with the stored user data (e-mail, photos, etc.) intact?

Yep. I've done in with the Samsung S1, Eipc. And I have a friend who did it with his kindle fire. You should look for it on your particular device.

Interesting. I've heard of it being done with a rooted device running multi-rom or whatever that is called. But again, that doesn't work with all devices.
