Root Boot animation miui

I'm trying to change my boot animation to one I have downloaded and cant seem to get it to work.

I'm runing Miui 1.9.23 and have followed a guide from xda.

Put bootanimation.zip on sd card the using root explorer copy to system/media.

This wont work for me any ideas, i wil try and provide more info if needed

You need to be s-off for this using root explorer.

Thanks pal, i got it working last night but this morning my animation had changed back

You could try copying it to data/local. Not sure though having never used miui. (you wont need s-off to write to data)
