Root Boot animation

I downloaded a bootanimation file from here: [Boot Animation][QVGA|VGA|WVGA] Android Scribble 2.0 -- Now with 3 more colors! - xda-developers. to see if it would work on my phone! I pasted a copy in:
/system/customize/resource
/system/media
/data/local
I rebooted my phone and the animation doesn't show. There is animation which is a shining android name and i can't for the life of me find it in root explorer.

Does anyone have an ideas.

The shiny android name bootanimation is the default android one. If you delete the custom rom boot animation, this will show instead. If you replace the rom boot animation with a boot animation taht doesn't work, this will also display.

deleting this is not the answer. The answer is getting a boot animation that works. Each image in the boot animation must be 24bit PNG format with a 480x800 dimension
