Root Boot Image

Is there a way to change your boot image the root way, the other way is all hard and pushing files and whatever and etc. but its not the root way, so is there a root way to access those files and make it happen? I would like to change it, but not bad enough to do the one with like 10 or more steps haha

That is the only way we have figured out to do it yet. Most likely it will stay the only way.
