Root Boot loop after rooting DHD 2.3.3

While entering recovery mode in H-Boot the phone is restarting with a red traingle mark with an exclamation mark on it. How to proceed further??

Can you help me out.
Thanks and regards,

Red triangle is the stock recovery. You must install ext before flashing anything.

Superuser is flashed in ext 4 recovery, not in hboot or cmd.

You don't need to flash superuser in order to flash jellytime :)

I have installed ext but it is asking for busy box. When I install busy box it says that su binary is not found in the phone :(
Hence I am trying to install superuser. :(
Thanks and regards,
Sagar

Wen is it asking for busybpx?

If you have the red traingle, ext 4 is nsot installed.

You shoukd not need superuser or busybox to harvest 4 recovery.

I couldn't install from 4EXT recovery, so I installed the $ext updater as well as 4EXT control from some website (apk files) and then opened them. It was asking for busybox. Then I downloaded the busybox from market and on opening it, it was showing that su wasn't present in the phone.

Thanks and regards,
Sagar

Do you have ext 4 installed now?

You dont need the updater.... Just install the ext 4 zipfile a few posts up.

Install in hboot or using cmd.

You can then use rals directions to flash jellytime.

These other things you are doing are not needed :)

Yuppieee.. Hip.. Hip..Hurray...
I have installed the 4EXT from cmd and then entered into the recovery and flashed Jellytime and then installed google apps.. :) :)
After a long struggle for a week, we finally did.. So happy I am.. :)
Thank you very very much Scotty :)

--- format all partitions other (except sdcard) === Some may say this step is not necessary.

Since I caught you online. Is this step necessary?

Added: Found an older post where you and CDPlant where helping me out:

If you are doing a full wipe to install a new ROM, I do the following -

-Backup current ROM
-Factory reset/wipe data
-Wipe Dalvik Cache
-Wipe Cache
-Choose zip from SD Card
-Install
-Reboot
-New ROM

Despite what people will tell you, there is no need to wipe battery stats. Some people say you need to do it every time you flash a new ROM, however it really doesn't do anything useful (and in fact every time you charge your phone to 100% and remove the charger it wipes it for you anyway.) It is solely there to show you your usage on a given charge and has no effect on battery life.

I am not sure where I picked up the habit of "format all partitions other (except sdcard) "

Most Rom install scripts will format the system and bot partitions,so invmost cases ,its not rsally needed. It's definagely not
A bad idea,I can elaborate more a lil later.

wow i type badly when im on my phone and in a hurry

anyway, when you format all partitions, you are basically wipeing ALL partitions- boot/system/cache/data.

it can be good,if a particular roms install scripts dont wipe boot or system prior to installing.

the only prollem,is after formatting all partitions, there literally,is nothing there. trying to reboot the phone at this point will just stick at the splash screen, since theres nothing to boot!

as long as the rom flash goes well, this step maybe hasnt helped, but it hasnt hurt either... as the new rom replaced the wiped parts, resulting in a booting phone.

for what its worth,i never wipe battery stats either, and i never wipe multiple times. and ive never used any "superwipe" type scripts.

if we want to be technical, really all thats needed to flash a new rom, whose install scripts wipe the proper partitions,is a wipe data/factory reset.

youve prolly noticed when you wipe data/factory reset, the cache gets wiped as well. the dalvik cache lives in the /data partition,so technically those 2 steps are optional.

i continue to recomend wiping cache and dalvik cache, partially out of habit, partially because thats the accepted "standard" for a full wipe, and mostly becasue it doesnt hurt :)

so... there is defiantely not any reason you should stop "formating all",espeically since you have a good understanding of what youre doing, and if you have a prollem youll just go back to recovery and fix it. hope that clears it up a lil :)

I understood it. Substance over form :)

Well, I don't have a good understanding, but your explanation has made things much clearer.

Every ROM I have tried wipes boot and system when I install as far a I can remember.

Sorry guys, I thought 4Ext was already installed.

Give us some feedback on Jelly Time :)
Hi Guys,

After spending a day with JellyTime (4.1). I would like to share a few things:
(Though, I haven't written any feedback on ROM's prior to this ;) )

Best part:
1. The interface is really cool, smooth and very fast.
2. Google voice at its best. Quicker search results and more appropriate results banged out.
3. Video is working fine
4. Notifications were more interact able. Liked the expanding notifications. :)
5. Auto re-sizing and overlapping of widgets were also good :)

Lagging :
1. Few force close issues. In Camera, taking a successive second picture making the camera app not responding.
2. Battery lasting for around 15-17 hrs (with data connectivity on and avg of 30 min calling) . IColdSandwich did last for more time than JB.

Hope, I would find a few more thing interesting in JB as the time progresses :) :)

Thanks and regards,
Sagar.
