Root Boot loop issue

I just ran the Revolutionary root method and all was well until I downloaded ROM manager. So far I have tried 3 different ROMS all of which get stuck in a boot loop after flashing. Am I missing something here?

Fortunately I backed up my stock ROM and I am able to restore through clockwork recovery. I am just looking for a solution so I can start enjoying some of these custom ROMS out there.

Did you wipe date/cache/dalvik prior to flashing the rom?

First of all I'd reccomend avoiding rom manager,at least until your comfortable doing things manually in clockwork recovery.

As was said,make sure you wipe data/factory reset,and wipe cache and dalvik cache. I'd make a backup of your working rom with clockwork as well.

Wiping the data worked. I was only wiping the Dalvik...

Now that I am up and running I am having an issue getting my G-mail contacts to sync. The ROM is pretty cool but I need my contacts

I have added my account but it seems like it doesn't have any contacts in it, but I know they are there that's how I got them on this phone in the first place.

any ideas?
