Root Boot Loop (Kinda)

Lucidot

Android Enthusiast
So I rooted the phone yesterday using the following methods:

Downgraded to 2.11.605.5 (Successful)

Revolution S-OFF (Successful) (Also downloaded CWM during process)

Flashed Superuser from recovery (Successful)

The odd thing is that the phone worked perfect for a while. (Couple hours)
Then I went to look at the phone and it had the triangle with the blue droid on the screen. If I hit the Menu soft key the main menu for CWM shows up. I hit reboot and it gets to the home screen and then says it's powering down and goes into a reboot and does the same thing. Get the blue droid.

The only way I can get it to be functional is to do a wipe within CWM (wipe everything) and it will get to the home screen and be useable. But only for a short while, then it goes into the loop again.

When it reboots I recalled it saying something like invalid image file or something to that affect. I made sure there were no files on my SD card and it still did it.

I just did a factory reset and reset the SD card as well. Waiting to see if it does it again.

Does anyone have any insight as to what might be going on or what I can do to fix it?

I ran Revolutionary again and it told me I was already S-OFF.

Your phone is trying to install the ota to 2.11.605.9. Best bet is to flash j rockers rooted 2.11.605.9 Rom in recovery.

Ahhhh........Never thought of that.

Thanks for the help. Flashing now.

Quick question. Will j rockers ROM flash the new radio as well, or do I do that manually? If manually, how?

TIA
