Boot problem after update

Lurker
My phone is S-ON and is not rooted.
I had installed HTC Marvel_S EU 2.13.401.2 with gold card. It was working very well.
I tried to update HTC Marvel_S EU to 2.13.401.3 with my gold card.
After installation of update phone tried to restart itself but the screen is flashing with back light and phone does not work.

Volume + Power do not work.
Removing and reinserting battery do not work.
What should I do?

What kind of phone is it, Marvel A510e or something else?

Ok, these are the right ROMs for your phone. And if 2.13.401.2 worked on your phone, there is no reason why 2.13.401.3 wouldn't. Compatibility isn't the issue.

So you copied PG76IMG.zip to your goldcard and installed it by going into bootloader, right? Actually, since your phone was already debranded and running 2.13.401.2, the Goldcard wasn't necessary for 2.13.401.3. Running the RUU might have worked fine.

It sounds like something happened during the flash operation, in particular like the bootloader got corrupted. I do know that 2.13.401.3 updates the bootloader, which is normal. Did you get any error messages or see anything unusual during the install? Did anything crazy happen like the battery fall out or run out of juice?

One more question, had you previously unlocked your bootloader or flashed a custom recovery?

If you can't get the phone into bootloader, there isn't much more that you can do than take your phone back to HTC for warranty service since a stock HTC ROM update bricked the device. It clearly wasn't your fault. Sorry about that :(

Thanks for your reply.
The boot loader does not starts.
I have seen than during the installation, there was a red message that boot loader did not updated or something like that. I could not cancel the operation.
It was HTC stocked and signed update and obviously their fault and I hope they can fix it.
What is the meaning of bricking the device? Does it mean that even with a box or the HTC warranty guys can not repair it?

Yes, it's bricked for sure due to a problem during the update.

Bricked is a joke meaning that it's good for nothing more than an expensive paper weight. HTC can fix it or replace it with a refurbished device.
