Root Boot up speed .

Anyway to speed up the boot ...I'm on stock rooted ZVD ..my boot takes about 3mins. . It use to boot faster on zvd ics 1.7
 
I know how to get rid of the boot animation and still allow you to boot up thus lowering the boot up time
 
My boot time on ZVD increased dramatically after I restored a bunch of apps with Titanium Backup. In my case, it probably has to do with the number of apps on the phone. When there is little or nothing on the phone, boot time is pretty speedy. It was definitely faster on the ZVB roms though.

Mines was always slow about 2 minutes even after I installed zvd and ran the phone without any apps But I take that anytime the phone feels so smooth and battery life is better so boot time I could deal with that until she get any roms for zvd.

Ditto. I'll take it as is because it is soooooo smooth otherwise :D Since there are no roms for ZVD anyway there isn't any need to reboot and play with a new rom or kernel. If I don't reboot then I don't have to wait.
 
Well, if anyone wants to know how yup disable boot animation anyways then let me know and I can help you out there.it's not a jack or anything like that.legitimate modifying

Well when you get a chance let me know I am glad I don't have to hear the metro boot up sound anymore but that waiting period to load is a little annoying I just need the work around that time.
 
You will need a root explorer of some sort whether it be ROM Toolbox, Root Explorer or something along those lines that will allow you to find and add a line into the build.prop file.

Yeah the stock ROM takes a long time to boot! Part of this however is that the custom ROMS (at least the ones I've tried) bring up the main phone screen as soon as initialization is at the point where they can, performing the final tasks while the phone is already functional but the stock ROMS wait until everything is totally finished.

guess we gotta wait till we get a rom
 
I'm running rooted ZVD with GSE2 and my phone boots up in about a minute.. maybe less because the animation doesnt even get to finish lol

Thanks yes this will help for sure also is it because I am not debloated I mean I took out all Metro stuff but never debloated and I can to the backup with rom manager right?
