Ok so I released a couple bootanimations all in one day, by request of drewwalton, badboytoast, and Petrah, all boot animations I make/nitestalkr makes will be in this thread as first and second post respectively. If any of you have a bootanimation you would like to share, post it as a reply and your boot animation will be in the third post as a link to your reply so that YOU can get the proper thanks.

Windows Phone: I was browsing the web, looking for alternate boot screens for my windows desktop, and came across an animation that was actually made for a Windows Phone, that happened to have the same resolution as the Optimus V (320x480). I added the glow, and fade out effect at the end of the original animation, and just as I was going to render it complete, I decided to add another part to it, that would loop over and over. After searching for a few hours, I finally found an animation that suits the Windows aspect of the overall animation. A classic modified Windows 7 loading bar.

This is a 3 part animation all in total.
part0 consists of sammyz' "DHoT Presents" animation(i added a fade out in the end)
part1 consists of the "Windows Phone" animation(i added the glow and a fade out, to the original)
part2 consists of the Windows 7 loading bar. (i re-sized the massive original animation)
Part2 loops continuously until android boots up.

Without further a due, I present my take on a Windows Phone boot animation. (as always I implemented Sammyz' "DHoT presents" intro animation.)

Preview:
(as always, the actual boot animation is way better quality than the gif preview)

Edited 2nd post:
Updated all but CM9 Red REDUX boot animations, added preview of what plays before the boot animation, changed installation method to support ONLY Flashable .zip method, added Crimson Serpent as requested by Petrah, and added Blue and Orange Portals.

updated OP to have links from AF instead of AC, except CM9 Grayscale, that was a requested bootanimation.

Btw I take requests ;) running out of ideas.

updated 2nd post: added my take on a Windows Phone boot animation. If you want to know the story behind it, read its description.

And I too, am starting to run out of idea's.
I will be accepting requests for color variants of my animations, new animations, or any ideas for animations as well.

Ever since I started using your DHot intro animation, my template for my planned animations changed from 1, to 2 parts minimum.

The more parts you use, its a good idea to decrease the amount of frames, so you can keep the overall file size down.

Try keeping a maximum of 1.5MB per part.
I was thinking about making a timed animation, so I can figure out a maximum amount of parts our animations can have, for just in case we want to go all out. :p

How did you edit the desc.txt?

Code:
320 480 30
p 1 0 part0
p 1 0 part1
p 0 0 part2

Only problem that I have with the animation, is, instead of the loading bar, it just shows a white screen.. I'll try to figure out the cause of it sometime tonight.

I'm gonna make a wild guess, you saved it as .png instead of .jpg......you also messed up your numbering, I'm gonna fix both and see what happens.

i've been using .png. all of my animations are made of .png, only part0 is .jpg.
and yea, its the numbering of part2.. I'm fixing it right now, while i take a break of making my DHoT boot animation.

actually, i think its just part2 in general. i guess resizing the original animation didn't agree or something. I'm going to try replacing part2 with another animation.

just replaced windows phone part2 with crimson serpent part1 (to see if it was the just the load bar animation) and 'crimson serpent' played right after 'windows phone' as it should, so i guess i need to go back and re-edit the windows load bar animation, or just replace it all together with another animation.

The problem was actually me trying to cut the size down by saving it as an 8-bit image, I re-saved them as 32-bit .png's, and now it actually works. I'll be uploading the update momentarily...

Update!
Updated the Windows Phone animation: fixed the white screen, (Note to self, do NOT save as 8-bit images, only save as 32-bit...)

Try keeping a maximum of 1.5MB per part.
I was thinking about making a timed animation, so I can figure out a maximum amount of parts our animations can have, for just in case we want to go all out. :p

I just made a 22MB bootanimation (not releasing.. its just a combination of all of my bootanimations thus far) and it contained 14 parts... it only made it to about part9 before android to boot up.. but then again they were all short..

So instead of measuring how many parts we can put in(cause each part can very in time length) i decided to see how much time it takes for the phone to boot(this varies greatly as well). as long as we keep the animations 15-20 seconds(with a last part that has a continuous loop to prevent a still image, i.e. "p 0 0 part'X'" [without any ' or " and with 'X' representing a number of course]), we can cram as many parts into our animations as we want(while keeping a reasonable file size of course).
