Root booting into bootloader

Does anyone have trouble booting into bootloader without using restart

I tried pressing volume down and Power together when restarting the phone inorder to boot into the bootloader

somehow it didnt work, it just boot normally

any suggestions?

make sure youve unchecked "fastboot" in settings/power. it will prevent you from getting to hboot via power/vol down from a powered off state.

to get to hboot from simple powered off with fastboot unchecked,youll need to wait several seconds/couple minutes to make sure the phone is really off. even with fastboot unchecked,holding vol down/power before the phone has shut completely off usually does cause a normal reboot.

i find it easier to boot my one X to hboot by doing a hard reset:
-hold power till phone turns off to reboot
-when the screen goes black,press vol down,let go of power
-let go of vol down when you see hboot
