how do you install a new bootload screen? already rooted....
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Not to step on any toes here... I know how much joe likes to repost the exact same boot animation over and over and over and over and over... (just messin with ya), but he didn't say boot animation, he said bootload screen.

Yeah, the bootanimation.zip you need to replace is located in the /system/media folder just remember to back up the old one first.
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
how do you install a new bootload screen?
It's called a 'Boot Animation'.
... but he didn't say boot animation, he said bootload screen.
I knew what he said, but I assumed (perhaps falsely, perhaps not) that he didn't actually mean the bootload screen. I find that to be too much work just to get rid of Motorola's logo.
I meant boot animation .. sorry for the confusion!

Boot animation does not require root.
I haven't rooted, and I don't plan to, unless verizon gets stupid with my FroYo!!
Then I guess I'll have to.Hey Fadelight! BYTE ME!!!![]()

Really?! I must know this.I haven't rooted, and I don't plan to, unless verizon gets stupid with my FroYo!!
Then I guess I'll have to.
I typed out how to do it right above the part you quoted. You MIGHT be able to use root explorer to move it to data/local if you dont know how to use adb, but I am unsure.
