Root Bootloader just dissapeared, wtf?

I can't access the bootloader at all, like I already know about the vol down + power buttton, I was attempting the s-off on an evo 3d and even with quickboot it just goes to the htc screen and stays there. The phone works fine besides that but how can I regain the bootloader? Thanks

I did that, nothing Brian. I'm downloading and setting up the android sdk again to see if I can try doing commands from my pc. Anyways before I noticed the bootloader issue I was trying to reset the whole phone but I needed to lock the bootloader before running the QADERSO RUU.EXE. But now that the bootloader doesn't show up I'm confused as ****. I chanted some buddhist mantras and 5 holy marys, but nothing man...

If you're willing to help I'm willing to stay on here and resolve this. BTW I noticed my sd card's got wiped one time after a failed s-off attempt and I never backed up whatever was on it, maybe that's the culprit right there?

What happens if you use adb to access your fastboot usb mode? Will that work or do you get the same thing?

adb reboot bootloader

Not sure how much help I'll be. I'm not familiar with all of the advanced fastboot and adb commands. Or the qpst stuff :/ never had to deal with it. I pretty much used adb/fastboot one time to root. After s-off i do everything from my phone. I'll pm scotty85 and have him come take a look.

I don't even know how I can send commands to the phone without being in fastboot usb mode. First of all how does the bootloader even disappear? This is weird. I'm willing to complete erase the phone and get it back to like day one status and start from scratch again but I think I'll wait for scotty then. Keep in mind the phone boots up fine and It's working.

Oh shit that worked!!
Edit: How can I repay your help man?

Hit the thanks button of course!

You all should use ADB and fast boot MORE OFTEN daggummit its very powerful and will save you from situations like this! They also have nice commands such as adb pull and adb push to send system files or pull them out. ;)
