Root Bootloader question

Is ther any way I can reset the bootloader? I accidentally hit to install a kernal before a rom, and now I have to use fastboot into everything from PC. Whenever I go into bootloader, it keeps going back to "parse update", which is that Kernal, and it keeps on wanting to update this. When I do this, all it does is stay on the splash screen of the ROM......

BTW, I went with Nils Business ICS Sense 4.0

Sorry if this sounds confusing, but pressing down and power takes me there, and it does these steps instead of allowing me to boot into recovery.

do you mean it's reading the kernal from your sd card when you try to boot to get to recovery? like it says something like it's checking for file pmg**** and it finds one and tries to use that to update? i'm just trying to figure out what exactly the problem is

Yes, thats exactly it!

ok all you need to do is somehow get into your sd card (i use my old og droid or my girlfriends phone) and delete the kernal it'll be named pmg****(i'm not 100% on the first three letters just that it starts with a p) that will allow you to boot to your bootloader and go to your recovery
