Help Bootloop and can't get into safe mode?

Hello!

My HTC One S has decided to get itself stuck in a boot loop. I've been trying to get it into safe mode by holding the volume down button when it's booting, but all that happens is that it eventually starts vibrating and then reboots.

Any idea what's causing this, and more importantly, how to save my photos? Will a factory reset wipe the photos?

I hadn't installed anything new since a few days ago, nothing out of the ordinary happened before it got stuck, and it's not rooted.

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi everyone,

I got the same issue with my HTC One S, unrooted, since two days.

When I turn on my phone, I get "HTC simply brilliant" screen, then the animated "HTC changing to ONE"... and it reboots!

I can access to the screen with the following menus:
FastBoot
Recovery
Factory Reset
Clear Storage
Simlock
Image CRC
Show Barcode

but no safe mode...

even if a reboot with a 10secs press on power button, and hit the volume down button when the "HTC screen" appears...

I'd really like to find a solution to save some datas (pics) from my phone before using a "reset factory" or any other radical solution.

I'll really appreciate some help on this one !

Thanks

... not the power button, just volume down when "HTC" appears :)
And then should appear "Save Mode" at the screen's lower left corner.

What you then might do ... read on the linked web page in my post above.

I've tried all day long.. but "safe mode" never showed up.

Finally, I've just made " clear storage" and it worked. (not factory reset!)

Ok...I've lost all my configuration, contacts details and apps installation, BUT it kept my pics (and my music), and it may be a lesser evil.

But I still don't know what happened.

I'll be back if I got any news about this..

anyway, thank you for your help Harry2! :thumb:
