Root Bootloop - Need some hand-holding, usb debugging not enabled

Earzzz

Lurker
Hi guys! I'm pretty much in the same boat as the OP in this thread: http://androidforums.com/nexus-4-all-things-root/790315-bootloop-no-recovery-no-usb-debugging.html

"Since I have no recovery, I cannot restore a backup
Since I can't restore, I need to flash stock and unroot
To do that my computer needs to find my phone as a fast boot device, but it can't.
To make it see my phone, I need to install the right drivers
To install the drivers I need USB debugging enabled
To turn on USB Debugging I need to not be in a bootloop"

I've downloaded the sdk-tools and a few factory images from Google, but after running the command "Fastboot devices", all I get is a blank return, and I have no idea of how to proceed from here.

Would someone be able to help me? I'm seriously considering getting a custom OS because ever since 4.3 this thing has been giving me all kinds of weird crap.

The battery died. Maybe that'll help.

Hello, Earzzz, welcome to Android Forums! :)

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your phone - we should be able to get you up and running again!!! :)

You could try downloading Wug's toolkit - it has a handy feature that should be able to get you out of a bootloop situation - you could then use it to flash stock :)
