Root Bootlooping on first time flash... AHHHH

I rooted my phone last night just fine. Got rid of the bloatware. Then found Joneidy's Sense rom and really wanted to give it a shot. Followed the instructions and have been in a loop since I started it back up. I tried taking the battery out at least 5 times.... Can anyone help? I could not find a specific enough thread in search.

You better have made a NAND backup, if so, go back to recovery and first Restore and see if its not bootlooping anymore, if its not then reflash. If it is then I'll get back to you unless someone else does first .

I only did it before I rooted... So I guess if I restore I'll have to do that over again too?

Whenever you Flash anything, ALWAYS make a NAND backup, itll save alot of frustration like now xD . But ya restore, re-root, re-flash. Make sure you make a backup everytime you are flashing >_<

Ok I totally understand why now.. I was unsure if it would replace the original backup or make a new one. I restored to before I rooted. The custom recovery would still be there now or do I need to do that process again too?


.... I just realized I have my titanium backups and can remove the bloatware from there now so I guess I saved AFTER rooting? I was up late doing it and now I can't remember but I wouldn't be able to before that right?


*edit* Not sure what I did wrong the first time but I reflashed and it worked! That wasfrightening though. Backing up EVERYTHING from now on.

You can't have recovery without root, also meaning that if you don't have root you can't flash recovery,nor make backups. So if you do have a backup,your rooted with recovery.all u ever need to do if u get boot loops is just wipe everything (I suggest wiping twice) and reinstall the rom. After that you should be good.
