Help Bootup Jingle

So I bought a One M8 from T Mobile Friday. What a phone! I love it. My only grip is that during bootup it plays the T Mobile jingle and very loudly. I tried a couple of apps from the Play store, Silent Boot and Volume Control, but they did nothing.
Is there a way to turn it of without rooting the phone?

Unfortunately,no.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for T-MOBILE to turn the volume down either,it's a bit of advertising for them.

Don't care much for it myself,but,I'll cut 'em some slack,as they leave the rest of the phone untouched by their branding,unlike another Well-Loved-Carrier .......

Talked to my son and he said to put the phone in Silent mode before turning it off. Gave it a try and during bootup, no jingle. I like it.

This also works on other phones on T-Mobile, not sure if it works on the M8 on other carriers/KIT KAT/all phones in general.

Still would be nice to isolate this one sound & silence/mute it PERMANENTLY w/o muting the entire phone without rooting.
