Bought a G2x of a cellhub

I bought a t-mobile g2x off a cellhub.com. The phone cost me 99.99. But they also charge me $100 but I'm supposed to be able to get a rebate on that. Has anyone here purchased from cellhub.com before? How do you get your rebate money?

I just bought two G2X's from cellhub myself last night. $79.95 each. This price and no activation fee was what pushed me into moving from MetroPcs to this phone. I did not see any mention of a 100 rebate. I'll be ticked if this is the case. When were you informed of this charge?

@fine69......your post confuses me....did you pay 100. extra as well?

Details guys please?
I thought I was being very sure that the 80. was all I was paying. I still am....but I'm interested in any feedback you've got on this company. Anyone else?

I paid 99.00 for the phone plus a credit deposit to the provider. There was no rebate.

Thanks guy! So the credit deposit was disclosed to you when you made the purchase? Was this because of credit rating issues? I'll find out soon enough. I'm just a tad concerned I got ripped. Deal seems too good to be true, so I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop LOL.

Someone else posted in another thread that the free activation may not be applied for several months as well.........

Now as I read all these horror stories about reboots, screen bleed and wifi probs, I'm getting a bit of buyers remorse, wondering if I'm gonna be dealing with warrantee issues via the mails.......

The phone looks awesome and I'm still really looking forward to it.....just hope I'm one of the lucky ones in this sweepstakes. At least LG seems to be forthright on their webpage....unlike Samsung. They still won't acknowledge myriad issues with the Indulge, which is why I'm coming to the G2X and tmobile. This Samsung customer complained with his pocketbook.

I'm getting nervous though....will my new phones be problem free?.....looks like a coin flip.

medical bills trashed my credit so that is what the deposit is for. According to my T-Mobile bill free activation is there.

 Screen bleed? Wifi problems? Hadn't heard about those. I have had my G2X for over two weeks and have not had a single problem with heavy use. Feel bad for those that have, there seems to be some bad ones out there.

screen bleed? wifi? no dont have any of those problems. Some phones just will not wake up but its random and not that often. Mine although is one of them. Its ok im used to phone bugs when they are this new. MY Incredible still reboots all by its lonesome whenever it feels like.

Don't misunderstand me. Like Fine69 says, it's a yin yang thing. There HAS to be some bad to go with ALL that good! I realize this. I am definately looking forward to this phone and will go with the flow.....
And as far as the screen bleed thing, I may regret this thought, but it doesn't look all that bad. I saw some pictures of some problems HTC Evo owners had with their screens. Now that was bad.
Now where is that fedex truck?!?

Wow, my last post must have put some sort of voodoo jinx on my phone. This morning I pulled it off the charger and ran out the door. When I went to wake it up... nothing. Had to pull battery to reset. As others have reported, after reset everything is fine.

I should add that the power was at 50% after reset, so I assume something happened shortly after I plugged it in last night... probably spoke too soon with my "everything is great" post.

Anyway, if it only happens every few weeks then I don't mind.

Well my phones came yesterday! Very quick. Wasn't impressed with the fact that the boxed phones were just floating loose in the shipping box, but all is well so far!
Cell hub so far has been a pleasure to deal with. Called twice so far and they seem professional and helpful.
They both have the bleed issue. But as I'd hoped, as it is I can live with it. I cannot see it in the little use I've had with it so far. They are not activated yet, will be tomorrow.
But cellhub, so far, has done what they said.
The note included confirmed what I'd seen elsewhere, that the free activation would be applied on the 2nd or 3rd bill. I'll try to post here when that happens.

79.99 w/ free activation.......still an awesome deal.;)
