Bought My Inspire From Costco for $20!!!

Or just trade the phone in. Att gave me $57 for myold bb curve8900. I got it free froms sams club when ui upgraded 2yrs ago.

I was just at Costco in Las Vegas and this phone was Free with new 2 year commitment. I didn't buy it because I am 2 weeks until upgrade and I am still deciding between this and Atrix but it said $0.00 right on the tag.

On the tag at my Costco there were 3 prices:
1) New subscriber price: I think it either said $0.01 or $0.00
2) Upgrade price: $19.99
3) Add a line price: $19.99

The print was very small so it was kinda hard to read. You might want to double check before purchasing, but it's really hard to argue even with the $20 price.

I was on the fence between the Inspire and the Atrix, but after AT&T and/or Motorola screwed us over on the pricing of the docks, and after reading the comments/reviews/opinions on the web I decided to get the Inspire and I couldn't be happier. My next phone will be dual core or quad core. :)

So can I get one at costco for $19.99 if i add a line. Don't get the data package and just take my sim card out of my laggy @ss captivate ahd use it from there. Just pay the $10 more a month. Can that be done?

the Inspire requires a data package. If they sales rep missed adding it on, when AT&T does an audit sweep (usually at the start of the billing cycle),
and they see you have an INSPIRE, they'll just add the $15 (200mb) package on. no way around it.

By the way, if you have a Captivate, you should already be paying for a data plan

No. Within seconds of you putting your sim card in it, the system will automatically add a data package. No human intervention even needed. Bottom line...there is no way around it.

Awesome. We almost bought the wife an Inspire from AT&T today. Thanks for the info, just ordered it through Costco.

Be careful opening with the sim/sd card cover. I guess I put too much pressure opening mine. It cracked into half (almost broke off) when opening it. I will take it to costco later today to may be get another cover. I certainly do not want to send the whole phone back just because of that.

you can add the line with the inspire which will add the data plan. the way around this is you will need a non smart phone to take the new line sim card. call att tell them you are using the inspire on the line with the unltd data package (if they ask why tell them your captivate it acting up or something) and that you have a non smartphone to use on the new sim card and need to have the data plan removed. they will ask you for the IMEI numbers to update those lines and remove the data plan from the new line.

I did this when I got my captivate and put a razr on tha new line which removed the data plan, and i already had unltd data on my current line.

Hi... My AT&T contract is up for renewal tomorrow (Mar 21) and I have decided on the Inspire to replace my "Ancient" LG Incite... Please don't laugh too hard .. It's survivied 2 years and still does the job :-) I considered waiting for the Samsung Infuse but since its just gott FCC approval and is probably a month or more away plus will be expensive for the first 6 months, the Inspre is the best deal out there. I was all set to go with Amazon or Walmart who have the Inspire on an AT&T 2 year renewal for $69.99.... However the Costco deal is amazing .. Once question/issue .. I don't have a Costco membership as the nearest store is 50 miles away. Do you have to pay the $50 Costco Membership fee to take advantage of the online deal for the Inspire? Any other deals for the Inspire anyone has come across?

Thanks in advance .. Great forum .. Really valuable to get input from real people not the claimed "Experts" who all too often have their own agendas :-)

the next best deal i saw listed here was radioshack for $50 and someone mentioned that if you register with radioshack online you can get another $10 coupon to use making the phone $40.

No. Online you can get it without being a member. It goes through Costco Wireless and they do not even ask for your costco membership ID. I have the membership but I did not even have to log in to get it. Even to check my order status, I had to register with Costco wireless, which does not have anything to do with your costco membership. The order will not even show up on your costco.com account (if you have one), because they are NOT linked in anyway.

I was on the fence about the Inspire but was off contract for a while now and my son had lost his phone in August and we waited and waited while I tried to decide if we would jump ship or not. Well then I heard about the Inspire coming to AT&T (a REAL android phone ha ha), and waited even more... shortly after the launch date I started hunting for good deals on the phone. I found LetsTalk had it for $60 new contract, $70 renewal. I couldn't find anything cheaper so I ordered it. Later that day someone (here I think) posted a link to an AT&T coupon for $75 off a purchase on their website. I tried to use it but I was having problems on their website getting to the cart. Called up Customer service and was told that someone from the web group would call me back in a couple of hours.. that was on a Friday night. I had a lot to do that weekend, so I forgot all about it. The Inspire from LetsTalk showed up on Monday. I went ahead and called to activate it. I told my story about the missed call and coupon not working to the person on the other end. She said "hold on". I figured I was going to get free activation or something for 1 or maybe 2 of our family lines. When she came back on, she confirmed the callback was in the system and no one ever followed up. She talked to a manager and said they'd give me the $75 off anyway even though I didn't purchase the phone through them. So AT&T paid me $5 to take the Inspire. :D

Orderd my new Inspire with Costco (online) ... $21.19 with tax (FL). Any experience how long they take to deliver?
Also ordered a Bluetooth/FM transmitter for the car (Amazon.com: Plan-B High-End Portable Bluetooth LCD Car Kit With FM Transmitter And SD Card Reader MP3 Player - Mounts On Steering Wheel - For iPhone 4, 3Gs & 3G, iPod Touch 4G, BlackBerry, HTC HD 2, 7, EVO, DROID, Samsung Epic, Galaxy S Etc. - Black:) ...
Anyone have any experience with this model? Will eventually change out the old head unit in the car but it's not easy/cheap in my 99 Corvette so hopefully this solution will provide a workable solution in the interim.
Thanks again to mrcamp and all who provided the great info to help with my research and purchase.

I got my local ATT store to price match this deal. I called best buy, and they claim that they do not price match wholesale and membership only stores. They held to their guns and lost my business. I couldnt believe that the ATT corporate store was the one that price matched costco. I returned my iphone 4, and got the inspire 4g plus $176.51 back on my card. WINNING!

haha thats awesome. Ya corp stores here dnt price match costco nor sams club so good job

First to participate in the program (if in fact, you bought an INSPIRE), you would have to FIRST fork over $59.99 to BestBuy. This is the "participation fee". Its NOT FREE. I think that's what alot of people think.

Where did the comment "if in fact, you bought an INSPIRE" come from? Why would I be posting about a phone I didn't buy?

In my original post I was just posting that Best Buy would price match the phone so people would go out and do that if they wanted to save the money and the hassel of returning thier phones to Best Buy and then purchase them at Costco. The Buy Back program was a side note to the purpose of my post.

Please look at my original post and learn some comprehension skills. I clearly said that I bought my phone WHEN Best Buy was offering the Buy Back program for FREE. They only did this the first week of their program which is when I bought my phone. I stated that Igot into the program free not that others would. I am well aware of the normal $60 charge.

Also their are a lot of people (not me) who buy phones off contract or have several phones who can use this program to get the latest and greatest phone and not have to shell out of pocket for the entire price. I believe this program suits that type of person the best.

BTW I will say this, you will not get much value if you join now and only get a phone when you are eligible for a 2yr contract. The reason is like you said $120-60(entry fee)-32(tax difference Calif between Costco and Best Buy). Comparitively I will not get a full $120 value but just $88 if you look at the comparisons between Costco and Best Buy. Again I will take it as it did not cost me anything.

So, Poneeboy53, you wish to correct me on any other discrepancies???????

I just did. Again in the future please learn how to read a post thoroughly before you post wrong information. You barely admitted you were wrong about the trade in value vs the the retail price when purchased. All I originally asked of you was to read and gain knowledge before you post which clearly you did not do in your original post. This led to you stating wrong information. Failure on your part to read my post post again led to you making wrong statements.
