Help 'bout to give up

I'm now on my 2nd replacement phone from VM. All 3 of them have green blob in the camera under incandescent and fluorescent lighting. Does anyone have a camera that behaves properly, or are they all like this?

I had this problem with both of my MTs. It is a known issue and documented on the Motorola Owner's forum site, see thread: "Common Problems".

Try aiming the MT at a white sheet of paper in the sun and take a photo of the white sheet. See if that helps.

Daylight it's no problem. Only in indoor lighting does the blob show up

Same with me

I never really had that problem indoors unless I took a picture with flash and then took one without right away without clearing my camera's cache or rebooting... So it may be possible that it is a software issue although it could be hardware... Who knows with problems the MT has lol.

??? I just tried this and I'm not getting the "blob". Is this with stock firmware or rooted? Just curious, I know that some ROMs have issues with camera software. I was upset that CM9 doesn't have camera support at all currently. (Can't wait until it does though! It is a beautiful system!)

Only some people have it. So if you don't have that blob it's a good thing :D. It's most likely some sort of hardware issue or maybe software, but only shows up on some phones... And it would probably carry over between roms...

My husband says he's not seeing this (his phone is rooted), and I'm not (mine isn't).

I don't have that issue. I'm running MIUI 1.25.11. I haven't had a lot of the problems that people were having. I was one of the lucky ones.
