Root bout to root

i came from a droid x, which was real simple to root. one upgrade later..and lost ability to root.

got a hold of my wife's fascinate and immediately wanted to root. however, i did notice a little more involvement as far as the process goes (with the DX it was as simple as the z4 root).

anyway, i want to root, but before i got the phone my wife upgraded to the latest OTA.

this is what the phone has listed thus far:
firmware - 2.2.2
kernel version - 2.6.32.9
build number - SCH-I500.ED05

can i still root?

oh..and the reason i'm asking is because i have not seen any booting links with the 2.2.2 version.

thanks...but, i ran into a snafu. the step says to run it as "administrator". the problem is that my pc will not run it because it needs a password. this was a hand-me-down pc. i guess im stuck.
