Help Brand new battery for S3

Hello everyone... I hate for this to be my first post on this forum. Especially it being a potentially dumb one.

I just received the Hyperion 2200 mAh battery for my S3. It says I should give it a solid 12 hour first charge... my question is would it be bad to use the phone while it is charging? It is going to be hard for me to find 12 hours I don't need my phone at all.

I don't think it'd hurt the phone as long as you left it plugged in for those 12 hours.

May I ask why you bought an extended that has nearly the same mh as the stock battery?

Not being nosey, just curious since we've got a 7000mh for rather cheap :)
 
Ohh okay well that's pretty reasonable :)

I purchased the 7000mh battery a couple months back, came with its own tpu case.

Adds some bulk but that's what I like :p

But yeah using it while it's plugged in won't hurt it as long as it stays plugged in.
 
I think modern li-ion batterys are pretty much fine whatever you throw at them. As long as it gets a 100% charge to calibrate the battery monitor so leave it charging for say an hour after the phone thinks its at 100% then run it right down to zero :thumbup:
