Breaking up text messages.

I recently updated my HTC Evo Shift, and ever since then when someone sends me a long message (under 150 characters) i will recieve the whole message, but it will be broken up into smaller messages. I used to only have this happen when someone would send me over 150 characters and it would be pages long. Now I get messages that aren't even a page long that break into 3 or 4 pages with very little on each page. I get the "0001/0002" with it too. Can someone please help me with this issue. Thank you!
 
I don't think there is a fix for it. It happens to me as well. It is more of a cdma network issue than android 2.3, I think, but if someone understands better than I do, please feel free to let us know what the deal is. It can be annoying, but I dunno, it sure isn't a deal breaker.
 
I try to ignore it... but it gets very annoying after having no problems with this phone for almost 6 months, getting a great update and then having this issue.
 
I hear ya! Htc and sprint are supposed to be working on getting the update fixed. Hopefully they will have something to release soon. Idk if it will help your issue, but we can keep our fingers crossed. ;)
 
I almost have the same problem. But Instead of breaking up the message, I will receive it ..over and over again. Last Time I got over 40 of the same messages, to stop this I took of my battery for a few hours. It get's really annoying. I called over 4 times to try and fix this, they never have a solution. I am really thinking of changing company's.
 
ahhh I thought it was just me ... sometimes it breaks in 3 but no biggie for me
