Now you can flash a kdz or tot of your choosing via download mode. The 10o tot and dll are on the previous link as mentioned. The tot is zipped so just unzip to reveal it once downloaded. I really don't think a d802 kdz will flash correctly but up to you if you want to try that.

Is the way of installing the rom for d800 and d802 different? On xda I found that there is different way to install stock roms for AT&T model. Should I follow this specific guide or install it like for every other G2 model?

Ah yes I forgot, the AT&T doesn't have any kdz's so you'll have to use the tot method as explained in the "back to stock" thread on xda. One other snag you may hit...you may get a version or wrong model error when you try to flash the d800 tot using LG Flash Tools. If that happens, you must hexedit the model number in the d800 tot to instead read lg-d802 to essentially trick the program into working correctly for you. This is because whoever sold the phone likely flashed the "system" from a d802 so they could sell it as such. Either that or they modified the build.prop I'm not sure which. So basically you have to use some workarounds to reverse the workarounds they used already.

How to do it? How to hexedit it?

And one more question, now when i flashed 10d vesrion of boot aboot and laf via fastboot can I flash 100 version of rom or i must use same version of tot?

You must use a hexeditor program to do that. It works best in Linux which I know not everyone uses. There are a few hexeditor programs that work in windows but they can be glitchy and freeze up with a file the size of these tot's. I'm afraid I don't have a recommendation on that but you can refer to THIS thread for some details on that. Focus on the last page or two where we were discussing that.

That won't be a problem.

Do you think there will be OTA update to kitkat? Or is this 10o rom kitkat? If not, are there any d800 tot kitkat firmwares? On stock rom I had android 4.4.2

I think it may be JB. I don't think there's anything newer publicly available right now. I'll look around tho.

The program says that Device Model is different.

On the phone screen there is LG-D802 and below D80220b

I dont know what to do now...

Can i try flash D802 tot or kdz file? Or is it dangerous?

Already answered both of those questions. Flashing a d802 kdz or tot could be dangerous but it MAY work too, I'm just not sure. My worry is that you could end up with a non booting phone and also lose download mode and not get fastboot mode back. If that happened, you'd be unable to do anything.

As to the model fail, that's where I said you'd need to hexedit the tot so LG Flash Tools reads it as a d802 instead of a d800.

Hmmm as I'm afraid to flash d802 kdz file and not able to hexedit the tot file, it seems I need to take my phone to repair service. Anyway thank you for your big help. Really appreciate it.

CrossDL [D802] to [D800] error. Im confused, it really looks like I have D802...

Yeah, if you'll notice my post directly after his in that thread, I was surprised it worked for him. I still am because I figured he'd get the same error you just got. That's why I've always recommended the hexedit trick.

Anyway, if you really think you have a d802, you can always flash a kdz for that. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. About the only way would be for me to pull the phone apart and look at the boards to be 100% sure. I'm leaning toward your internals being d800 based on what you've seen with the back cover off but you may be right.

Something moved. I found tot file for kitkat for D800 then edited it in hexeditor and used with dll files provided by you (the one found in other thread) and installing strated. However the installation is stopped on 10 % this error

What coud it be? Is the file downloaded with error or i'm doing something wrong?

EDIT:

The file cannot be with error as I tried with another tot file (the older one) and I got the same error. Any ideas?

Can't say I've seen that error. Double check the size listed for the download and the actual size once downloaded.

Any chance you could post a screenshot of the line you edited in the tot? I'm guessing you did that right but just trying to cover all bases.

I dont think its download error as I check with different tor file (android JB) and I got same error.

Here is the pic of hex

This is after. Before was just D800 and I changed it to D802. It seems like the error occures when flashing modem part? I have no idea...

Are you sure the line was identical to that besides changing d800 to d802? That line seems off but it could just be me.

Other thoughts...you swapped out the megalock dll yes? The LG United drivers have been installed?

Yes Im sure, there was D800 and D80020C and first I changed only first D800 to D802, but still got model error, then I changed D80020C to D80220C and it started installing. Megalocks swapped, drivers installed (device set as port 41).

You think the error is specifically because of TOT file?

EDIT:

The guy on xda with same problem answered me:
I've had it give me that error before and I've just kept trying again and again and it finally worked. I don't know of what happened but I did restart my laptop a few times and it finally took. I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you.

Maybe Ill try on another pc.

The phone is back from service. The guy installed firmware for d802 16 gb version. The phone starts normally, but now my touchscreen doesn't work properly. DO you think it can be the case when phone has wrong firmware (apparently my d800 has d802 firmware) or touchsensors have nothing to do with firmare, and the touchscreen is simpy damged?

Your phone may have been partitioned to only use 16GB now even though you technically have a 32GB phone. But besides that, you could try accessing the hidden menu > settings and choose the option to update touch firmware. Not really sure it'll work in this case though. I'm beginning to wonder if the firmware is device specific as it relates to the LCD.

I can try but it is really hard to do anything on the phone as touchscreen works randomly. Do you think I should try to flash the right rom (for d800) again?

EDIT

I also found out that the guy took apart my phone, do you think the digitizer could be connected wrong/partially wrong?

I wonder if I should try to take apart the phone again and see if the digitizer is connected right.

Nope. ur phone touch is not broken. it's just not functioning properly due to incorrect kernel. if you can, try flashing in d800 kernel and modem. there is a chance you might get your device working.
search for "how to install d802 firmware on a d801" in google. you will find a post of a guy who did this and still had a working device. he said to first flash the rom of 802 and then secondly without restarting the device install a d801 kernel, cause d802 kernel i think is incompatible with d801.

think this can also work for your device......
this is only an idea, how to make this happen is a little tricky.......
