Bricked after factory reset

I have done a factory reset on my rooted S2 running NEAT rom and now it is bricked. Why? I was going to send it back to Vodafone as part exchange for my upgrade to the S4.

I have tried both a soft and hard reset. I can't boot into recovery. It sometimes will go as far as the welcome screen with the yellow triangle but then powers down again.

I do have a jig and can get into download mode but I'm not sure what do after this, if anything?

I have downloaded Kies and Odin on to my new PC but Kies isn't recognising the S2.

Any suggestions?

If it is rooted kies won't recognize it anyway. Go to sammobile and download the stock Rom for your phone (can search via carrier, then put into download mode, plug into computer with Odin running, make sure it recognises it and flash, if your still unsure, your basically following the instructions for the upgrade guide....
