Bricked GS3, need the content from internal memory. Please help :(

This past weekend, my Galaxy S3 was having charging issues. After charging till around 6 pm it was around a 75% charge when it suddenly turned off. I've not gotten the phone to budge since.

I've tried taking out the battery, sim card, sd, booting in recovery and download mode with the 3 buttons held down together, using a new battery, etc. and nothing happens. It seems like theres a problem between the charging and the battery...

Thing is is that I have scads of important and meaningful information pictures, etc. on the device's internal memory. I removed everything from the external SD card when my card went bad last fall (it would heat up extremely hot when plugged in) so I lost everything else I didn't lose then. How I didn't learn to back up my info to the cloud.... I don't know.

I dont think the data could be damaged, so I need to know how to get it off the phone. Verizon sent me a replacement phone, but I will of course lose everything.

I'm very distraught and appreciate any help.

Thank you.

Have you tried charging the battery in your replacement phone and putting it in your old one to see if it will power up?
Or if it's a different model of phone, check Amazon for an s3 wall charger (very cheap) and use that to charge the battery

Have you tried plugging in to PC?

I've tried using a charged battery in the phone as well as plugging it into the PC. I want to try moving the board from the broken phone to my new phone to see if I can then access the data. It looks like the storage is a part of the board. It looks relatively easy to do this but I'm afraid of breaking something.

Do either of you have any experience in working on the internal pieces of a cell phone?

Heres a guide on removing it. There's youtube videos as well. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Samsung+Galaxy+S+III+Motherboard+Replacement/12696

Is there any issues I'm unaware of with a board being moved to a different phone? Like the board and the other remaining components coming from different parts? Not sure if anything syncs between them.

If it's the exact same model #, as in SPH-L710 or whatever it is you have, then it shouldn't be a problem. But from what you're describing it sounds like the main board in the old phone is bad. Only one way to find out I guess. I've never taken the S3 apart but have taken apart other phones and small electronics.. just be careful with the ribbon cables and little plugs. If something is stuck, figure out why it is don't go ripping stuff out lol. Good luck.
