Bricked Phone Upgrading to ICS

thats pretty much it,no idea how.Upgrade failed,went through recovery steps,now kies doesn't even recognize my phone.Won't connect,just continues until it times out.Did connection troubleshooting reinstall,still nothing.
Called samsung,removed batt and tried master reset and nothing,just goes back to firmware upgrade an issue.
trying to get a warranty replacement now

did you try to upgrade through kies? or were you using a cooked rom? from what i understand, most ics roms will brick your phone if you have a known band emmc firmware (or something?)

Mine bricked also. If I wanted the issue fixed asap, I had to drive 40mins to an AT&T service center, which I did. The tech re-flashed the latest gingerbread and told me to wait a few weeks before re-trying. He didn't even know ICS was out!

Mine bricked after the update was deemed good rebooted. It froze on the AT&T screen "Just Imagine the Possibilities", which was kind of funny actually. I was imagining the possibility that my damn phone was working
