Help Brightness dims considerably on its own in email app

Hey guys something strange is happening on my phine today. When I go to the stock email app the brightness is dimmed to lets say 25 percent when the resr of the time is at 50 percent! Its the only app that its doing it with. I have my brightness set to auto so im not sure whats going on. If I go to email it dims as soon as I get out goes back to normal brightness. Its annoying me as I can barely see when its sk dimmed.

Have you tried the obvious first test?....turning off auto brightness.

I know it's not supposed to work this way, but auto brightness depletes my battery substantially faster..just fyi.

OK figured it out....I accidentally had power saving mode on. I guess that also explains why my alarm didn't go off this morning and why I was 45 minutes late to work!

So Power Save mode turns of alerts?
