Help Brightness Issue

Hey everyone. I have been having an issue lately with my Fascinate. The brightness level goes down to zero when I lock and then unlock the phone. When I go into the sound and display settings, it shows the slider as all the way to the right however it's still very dim. When I touch the brightness slide bar and don't really move it much, the screen returns to the full brightness. I do not have the power save mode checked and I don't have auto brightness checked.

Any thoughts?

I'm thinking it may be a launcher issue. I'd try going into the application manager and "force stop" on which ever launcher was being used, then reboot and reselect the launcher when the prompt comes up.
