brightness setting doesn't take effect

MagicGear

Lurker
I met a problem with my galaxy nexus.
The brightness widgets (e.g. brightness level) and all other brightness app (e.g. smart profile) setting doesn't take effect immediately. The brightness setting won't be change until I turn the screen off and back to on.
The build-in brightness setting doesn't have this problem.

Anyone know why this happen, any way to sort it out? Thanks!

Do you have Swype Pad installed? It breaks other apps apart from stock widget from changing brightness settings. There doesn't seem to be any way I get in touch with the dev, so I haven't been able I report a bug, except via an old and seemingly no longer used twitter feed. If anyone else has this problem and knows how to contact him, let me know! In the meantime it's written on most of the various brightness app market pages that this happening with Swype Pad... Could this be affecting you too?

I did install swipe pad, will try uninstall it. thanks a lot!
BTW. swipe pad is awsome,is there any alternative before the author fix this bug?
