Brightness Setting

What does everyone set their brightness setting on?

Normally I just have it on auto so I presume it saves the battery.

But I've just turned it on 100% and the it looks alot better than having it dark.

Does having the phone on 100% all the time use up much battery?

Sure does eat up the battery. With it on 100% your phone is just pushing power to your screen constantly to keep it lit up right all day
 
I keep mine on 10%. Sounds like nothing but it's completely fine for normal indoor use. Outside I can put it on 100% to see. Also I like to put it on maximum brightness inside to be impressed by the amoled screen.
 
I changed to having it set to automatic because on one occasion when outside on a sunny day I couldn't read the screen, hence I couldn't find my way to where I could adjust the brightness. Automatic works fine and I haven't had a problem with the phone outside nor have I noticed the battery life being eaten up.
 
I use auto brightness for most of the day and turn auto off and set it to its lowest setting if I use the phone in the dark.
 
I'm on 100% all the time! :D
Battery's not much of a concern for me so I feel that I may as well enjoy my Desire's screen in its full AMOLED glory! :)
 
I use auto when im at work becuase i don't use it much but if I will be using it for web browsing/pic viewing/tv catchup and so on I whack it on 100% to enjoy it properly! satnav I use 100% for too becuase it does night mode when its dark anyway!
 
I use auto during the day and "dimmer" widget when it starts getting dark. A simple widget that saves a lot of battery power, yet still shows the screen in all it's glory.
