brightness tip

Well I've know this for some time now but it took me fever to figure it out and I think it wors on all galaxy s ( epic and vibrant for sure) but anyways I was aways somehown dimming the screen just messing around with my notification bar and come to find out if you have auto-brightness off you can do a shortuct to change the brightness by holding down on the top of the notifcation bar and sliding left or right kinda cool....

Idk if you guys knew it or not just thought i'd share

It's probably my favorite "feature" on the phone!

I believe this no longer works with the newest Android 2.2.1 update. Am I wrong about this?

Still works. Disable auto brightness first.

This still works but its not a swype like it was in 2.1

You must press down on notification bar for at least a second....and hold your finger there......then drag left or right and it will work

In 2.1 - you could just swype

No phone looks good under direct sunlight, but I struggle to see mine MUCH less than people with other phones. It almost looks like a new dance, these people cupping the side of their phone and turning and bending all sorts of directions to try to see their screen. hehe Hang out at a dragstrip some time!!

HI, I use "Screen Filter" from the Market to adjust my screen brightnees. Not a bad little app and its free.

Im so glad i just read this i didnt even know that the phone did this and it even still works on the rom that i have flashed onto my phone so thanks a lot thats a really nice feature

I do the same, keep mine down at the lowest setting. Still can see perfectly clear. I'm surprised it doesn't actually black the screen out like my other phones.

I do love your find about the brightness control if I ever need to change it when out in bright sunlight. Thanks for the tip.
